STUART REESE

My Story

In fall 2024, my family and I relocated to the Jackson area to be closer to my wife’s work and our children’s school. Through a connection, I was encouraged to apply for the Executive Director role at The Mustard Seed. The board was seeking a leader who could bring organizational clarity, update processes, and build strong relationships with staff, families, donors, and community partners. My background in nonprofit leadership and problem-solving made me a strong fit.Prior to The Mustard Seed, I spent several years in nonprofit and community-based roles, developing skills in organizational optimization, relationship building, communication, hospitality, and technology. This diverse experience has shaped me into a well-rounded leader who can add value across any organization.Looking ahead, I’m eager to grow in a project management role where I can collaborate with stakeholders, apply my skills to elevate teams and systems, and contribute to meaningful organizational impact.

Interests & Hobbies

I love spending time with my family—it keeps me grounded and reminds me what really matters.Community engagement has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My family and I take seriously how we can serve and care for those around us.Running is my time to push myself, clear my head, and set personal goals.Cooking and hosting are my way of caring for people—there’s nothing better than sharing a good meal and good conversation.Being in the woods helps me slow down, recharge, and enjoy the simple things.Working in the yard is hands-on and satisfying; I like seeing the results of hard work and getting dirty.
